Never let these beauty blunders and anxiety habits get in the way of looking your sheer best. With only a few days left before your big day, you already have a lengthy checklist of to-dos – now meet the don’ts! From makeshift skin treatments to all-night movie marathons, here are 9 things to avoid at all costs.

New Hair Colour:
No matter how good your colorist is, don’t do any changes to your hair before wedding. You never know how the color would oxidize or how it will look for your skin tone. It will be too much damage to your hair by getting it recoloured right away- only if there weren’t any high levels of bleach tangled in the process.

Haircuts:

Mostly wedding trials and consultation start about 3 months prior to the wedding and the same hairstyle should be maintained throughout the process. Your texture and style of hair might change and it might also not look right with your wedding dress and jewels. Just a ‘micro-trim’ to chip off any split ends would suffice.

New Workout:

Just stick to your routine that you have been doing. This is not a time to experiment new moves. You don’t want run off to a doctor for sore muscles just some days before your wedding. Join a fitness program well before your dress fittings to lose weight.

Changing your makeup:

Don’t panic at the last minute regarding the amount of makeup applied for you. During your trial makeup, when you are in a rational state of mind, tell your beautician how you want to look. Trust your makeup artists, because they take your skin colour, type, age, hairstyle, wedding color palatte, time and location and dress colour into account when designing your look. Drink plenty of water and good amount of sleep to stay fresh and bright because you don’t want to wake up with puffy eyes now. Do you?

Juice Cleanses:

Food is fuel to your body. Juice cleanses are very low in calories. A week before your wedding you should be eating only well-balanced meals with a high focus on fruits and vegetable and drinking plenty of water. Never ever skip any meals. You cant lose your weight a week before your wedding by skipping your meals. Even if you do lose, that would be only your water weight.

Microdermabrasion:

A peel session promises smooth skin in future but it’s a total no-go for the week before your wedding. Sometimes skin might peel off, which leaves dead skin on surface and screws your makeup. Any skin treatment should be done atleast 2 weeks before your wedding.

New Skincare products:

Using a new product can sometimes lead to allergies, dryness, oilness, dullness or any other side effects. If you want to change your skin-care regimen, do it alteast months before your wedding.
